Art of & Resistance & Resilience is celebrating the installation and unveiling of their highly anticipated 40’ mural commemorating the historical legacy and 50th Anniversary of the Seattle Chapter Black Panther Party by hosting a community art show featuring:

– Unveiling of mural (across the street from venue at 6pm)
– Photo essay by Unapologetic Artist Creatives
– Native American story telling by Roger Fernandes (Lower Elwha S’Klallum)
– Intergeneration spoken word and poetry (performers TBA)
– Short film by Miles Grant and Veronique Harris documenting the mural creation from start to finish

Full color posters of the mural will be for sale. All proceeds of poster sales will go to Art of & Resistance & Resilience, Franklin High School’s social and environmental justice based art club, to ensure they have the resources to continue to create powerful community based art. Unapologetic Artist Creatives photographic prints will also be available for purchase.

Admission is free and open to all ages.
