From August 1st to September 5th, 11 courageous young people will be biking over 1,700 miles from Seattle to San Diego for 37 days all in the name of #Citizenship4All. This bike tour is a part of NAKASEC & Affiliates’ larger Citizenship For All campaign and is aptly named “Journey to Justice.”
At Seattle City Hall on August 1st, NAKASEC & Affiliates will be hosting a press conference to officially launch the start of this #Journey2Justice, explain the campaign components, and to send off our riders. Speakers at this press conference launch will include:
-Congresswoman Pramila Jayapal
-Young, courageous “Dream Riders”
-Kris Larsen, an adoptee without citizenship
-Sophia Lee, Korean American immigrant and board chair of the Gender Justice League
-Rich Stolz, Executive Director of One America
-Local community organizations and leaders
We hope to see as many people as we can at this launch, and we are so excited to embark on this exciting journey to justice for all non-citizens and undocumented immigrants!
