Fifteen years ago, George W. Bush launched the invasion of Iraq. The United States intended the second Iraq War as a stepping-stone to wider domination of the Middle East, and they claimed victory when Saddam Hussein’s dictatorial regime fell quickly. But within months, the U.S. faced mass resistance to the occupation, and 15 years later, the war represents both a setback for U.S. imperialism and a catastrophic human tragedy.

Join us for a discussion about the history of the U.S. assault on Iraq and conditions in Iraq today.
