11:00 am – 1:00pm

Join Veterans For Peace on its annual Tax Day Action to
raise awareness of how our Government spends our tax
dollars and the outrageous amount that goes to the military.

There is no better way to inform the public about where
our tax dollars end up in the federal budget than in a pie chart that graphically shows how Congress decides where to distribute tax revenue in the annual discretionary budget.
We’ll be handing out this budget at the federal building.

This action is also part of the Global Day of Action on Military Spending, which is a world wide effort to expose
the enormous amount of money the U.S. and other nations spend on their military.

Usually, April 15 is when federal taxes are due, but because
The 15th of April is on a Sunday and the following Monday is a holiday in Washington D. C., Tuesday the 17th is the designated Tax Day this year.

What: Leafleting
When: Tuesday, April 17
Where: Federal Building in downtown Seattle, 915 – 2nd Ave
Time: 11:00 – 1:00
